Leaf branch tree

For the prompt of leaf branch tree for this month's   http://alteritmonthly.blogspot.com/ I altered a box frame - I used the back of the wooden frame as I needed a rigid surface and covered it with a layer of filler (joint filler) leaving a textured surface I left this till it was dry to the touch but still slightly damp then painted the background with acrylic paints The flowers are stamped directly on to the picture but the bird and verse are stamped/printed onto tissue then stuck on with pva I finished it off with clear and coloured beeswax

mermaid

I used filler to cover an old plaque and painted on the mermaid while the plaster was still damp - this allowed me to add testure to the body and hair of the mermaid  I finished off the whole picture with clear and coloured beeswax getting more texture to the piece  I was inspired to do this with the prompt for this months challenge on http://alteritmonthly.blogspot.com/

truth and Lies journal page

my page for this weeks journal on UK Stampers has a paint and ink splodged background underneath a cotton web
I've used the quote 'Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive' which has been written onto velum and woven through the web
The centre is a spinner - to point out the truth and the lies  Of course I always tell the truth.....unless I tell little white lies !!

Vintage soap cone

The cone itself is made from fabric paper that I made to include vintage photos - it is stitched into a cone shape with layers of lace around the top.  The eyelets at the top are threaded with ribbons and a ribbon and fibre tassel is threaded through a large bead at the bottom point
I finshed the cone with paper flowers and a feather  It is filled with handmade soap and packed with vintage crotcheted lace
The tag is layered with vintage papers and photos - lace and a flower with a vintage shell button
