Art Journal

I created this journal to be swapped with my friend Lorraine - We will swap it back and forth between us to create a 'masterpiece'
The title is Colour and Texture  which can be interpreted in many guises!  the cover is made from a mixture of paper fabric tissue texture paste inks and wax

Wall hanging

I consider myself very lucky to have been able to join Beryl Taylor in Egypt to produce this work
Beryl is a lovely person with inspiring ideas and we had a fabulous time on this course
We started making fabric paper in its various forms and painted the egyptian cotton in diluted paint for the background and trimmings In true 'Beryl' style we worked on small pieces of work which were then assembled to form a wall hanging No machines available so lots of hand stitching - Beryl was 'on our case' so we could go home with a finished piece......although we had time to swim eat and enjoy our holiday too

Bird Pencil Pot

I decorated an empty biscuit tube to keep coloured pencils tidy The birds and birdhouses with the colours suited my spring theme for Calico Crafts and the details can be seen on their blog

Freshwater pearls

I don't make much jewellery but I bought some beautiful freshwater pearl - they are so organic - and thought they would make a birthday present for my daughter - I will give it to her later (and hopes she likes it)

Steampunk fish

I'm still working with polymer clay and Christi Friesen designs and spent most of the day making this interesting fish - it's the only cooking I've done for a few days!!

Steampunk hearts

I was inspired with Christi Friesen's Steampunkery book using polymer clay so this weekend I decided to have a go - blending various colours of clay shaping the hearts and adding cogs etc to make the three steamunk style hearts
