mermaid

I used filler to cover an old plaque and painted on the mermaid while the plaster was still damp - this allowed me to add testure to the body and hair of the mermaid  I finished off the whole picture with clear and coloured beeswax getting more texture to the piece  I was inspired to do this with the prompt for this months challenge on http://alteritmonthly.blogspot.com/

Lovely mermaid and I like the fresco painting style.

Lovely painting, her hair is gorgeous (wish I had hair like that!) and I love the texture on her tail. Brilliant piece. x
