I created this journal cover from handmade fabric paper and bound it in hand dyed and stamped tape
I love this old photo so transferred it to fabric and stitched it to the background The long tags are also fabric paper with hand written goals added The title is from round tiles stamped and secured to the background with embroidery thread
This month's challenge on http://alteritmonthly.blogspot.com/ was to use a domino I coloured and stamped my domino with an image 'be yourself' this is set into a shrine made from polymer clay which is coloured with mica powders and encrusted with beads and a metal charm
Getting organized for Halloween I've prepared this box to send a shiver down the spine of anyone that comes near to take the treasure - in fact I enjoyed myself with paint and powder with a skeletal hand made from polymer clay
Working with fabric paint I coloured the white cotton fabric then stamped a variety of stamped images in various colours Once this had dried and heat set I added net lace and ribbon held in place with hand and machine stitching The cover fits over an A5 book - and I can remove the cover to wash or change to another book
The challenge on http://alteritmonthly.blogspot.com/ was to use or create something rusty As I have been collecting rusty bits for years I couldn't wait to make something for this challenge My box of 'Forgotten Dreams' is an assemblage of bits linking to a key - the key to the past
